Jordan Group Promos Sponsors YMCA “Champion” Event
October 4, 2011, Cheshire, CT – Jordan Group Promos is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the YMCA of Greater Hartford’s annual “YMCA Celebrates Champions” event. This event will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown in Hartford, CT.
“YMCA Celebrates Champions” is the signature fundraising event for the YMCA of Greater Hartford. This event helps to support Read to Succeed and other important programs that enhance personal development for youth, families and adults in the Wilson-Gray YMCA Youth and Family Center in Hartford.
This year’s event will feature guest “champions” Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, about whom the book and movie The Blind Side were written. The Blind Side recounts the story of Michael Oher, a homeless teenager who became a first-round draft pick NFL football player, with the support and love of the Tuohy’s. Today, Leigh Anne and Sean continue their mission to inspire hope, ignite generosity, and make it happen for the deserving but underserved youth.
In addition to the guests of honor and keynote speakers, the event will feature live and silent auctions of one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia and other special gifts, as well as a VIP reception and book signing.
